Anti-Wrinkle
Anti-wrinkle is the general term used to describe all muscle-relaxant injectables used for cosmetic purposes. Whilst Anti Wrinkle injections are commonly used for reducing signs of ageing (including erasing wrinkles and softening skin texture), they can also be an effective treatment for people who suffer from migraines or teeth-grinding (by reducing muscle tension), or for lifting areas for aesthetic purposes (such as brow lift or a lip flip). Typically the effects of Anti Wrinkle can last roughly 3-6 months, depending on location and dosage. All Anti-Wrinkle appointments at The Cosmetic Hub can be booked by the number of areas that you wish to have treated. If you are unsure, please book a complimentary consultation with one of our cosmetic nurses, so that we can assess and create the most beneficial treatment plan for your face and features.
Under Australian law, advertising brands of cosmetic injectables is prohibited -
but our cosmetic injectors have multiple products available. Our dosing is based on the average female face dose range, which tends to be the right dosing for most clients.
Some may need a top up at the two week period if the muscle is very strong, and men always require a larger dose than women. For more information, please contact us.
FAQS
Who is eligible for Anti-Wrinkle?
You are eligible for Anti-Wrinkle if you are over 18 years of age, are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and are in good health. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact the clinic.
Can I have any other cosmetic treatments on the day of my appointment?
Some non-invasive skin treatments may be suitable prior to your anti-wrinkle treatment, but no treatments may follow. It is best to allow 2 weeks either side of having Anti-Wrinkle and any other treatment to the same area.
Is Anti-Wrinkle painful?
Anti-Wrinkle injections are tolerated really well as the injections are generally quite superficial. You may wish to use a topical numbing ointment prior to treatment, however this will work only for the injection site and may not ensure that you are pain-free.
Is there any downtime?
You can be 'out and about' immediately following an Anti-Wrinkle treatment, however your skin may be slightly red at the injection site. You will need to stay with our nurse for 15 minutes, and then it is best to stay upright for 4 hours following treatment to ensure no pressure is applied to the treated area. We also advise no swimming, no saunas, and no excessive sweating on the day of your appointment.
Cash I wash my face after my appointment?
Yes, of course you can. Just be gentle with any treated areas.
How long will my Anti-Wrinkle last?
Most people rebook within a 6 month period, however high movement areas may wear off faster. Individual results vary.
